I was led to becoming an artist through a spiritual quest that began when I was a child and crystallised in the mid to late nineties. I never consciously intended to paint. I have always been intensely fascinated by the innermost workings of the universe, both physical and spiritual.

I find similarities between the vastness of the ever expanding cosmos and freedom of mind. Strange as it seems I feel like I travel to other planes and dimensions. I sometimes have vivid dreams of other worlds and planets which seem to guide me.

My paintings are proofs and accounts of my travels. I paint from inner visions and intense emotions, impossible to organise in words, which I let go of instead on canvas. I seem to follow an inner guide, a wisdom or an internal muse that supplies me with tremendous joy and a wonderful feeling of long forgotten peace.

  1. Having grown up with in an artistic household – my mother was an abstract artist, I can truly appreciate the depth of your work. Some of the pieces resemble an image of what one might call, a window into the unconscious – I love the vibrant colors as they depict for me a sense of light and love. There are also certain pieces that reflect turmoil and searching but you have harnessed your talent to be able to express these emotions and they live in the work. The media that you have developed is innovative and inspiring.

  2. Your feeling of traveling to other planes & dimensions I understand to be the transcending of the horizontal dimension of time & space where you are accessing/connecting with the universal oneness of being….the peace a state of connectedness with the immeasurable & indestructible energy which is essentially you but far greater than you…your true nature beyond name & form..an intelligence that is greater than the mind…formless & timeless reality… the unmanifested life that animates physical form…the spirit energy which is on a higher vibrational frequency than mind energy… a whole different order of reality…the Eternal One that is underneath all forms of life. It IS THAT light & love that comes through in your works…in my humble perception.

  3. Thanks for your great words.
I’m also grateful for all your emails, keep them coming. Thanks again!

  4. I love your website. The studio look with your artwork is very cool. As always, you bring the imagination, beauty, technique and inner expression to all your work as that of a gifted artist. There can never be enough writers, artists or creators bringing great stories, paintings, drawings to enrich our lives. The mind may appreciate numbers, the ears music, the eyes colors – but when you can capture the beauty of Geometry or fine brush strokes and bring together colors like that of a song with great composition, then you have created something that reaches beyond our senses and resonates with the soul.

Wish I could attend your next gallery, howevever I will be in Ottawa soon at a new job. I’ll get there one day. Keep up the good work. Chris.
